CSA-Inspired Summer Pizza

Howdy from the farm! This quick recipe calls for pizza dough, sauce, and some delicious seasonal toppings including summer squash, spring onions, heirloom tomatoes, and basil!

Although this recipe was curated using ingredients from our weekly CSA box, feel free to top your pizza with whichever vegetables you would like.

INGREDIENTS

pizza dough

tomato sauce

mozzarella cheese

summer squash

heirloom tomatoes

spring onion

garlic cloves

olive oil

handful of fresh basil

METHOD

If the pizza dough is frozen, transfer it to the fridge 8-12 hours before you intend on baking it. Remove dough from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature on the counter for at least an hour before baking.

Preheat your oven to 450ºF. Stretch the dough out on a lightly floured baking sheet and brush it with a tablespoon of olive oil. Generously spread tomato sauce onto the dough.

Top with the mozzarella, vegetables and minced garlic. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden-brown and the cheese on top is melted.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves once you have removed it from the oven and enjoy!
