Simply Roasted Turnips
Turnips are popping up out of the soil here on the farm and we are so delighted to share this simple roasted turnip recipe with you. When roasted, the mellow sweetness of the turnips makes this a stand out companion to any meal. Or if you’re like us, you’ll be hovering over the baking sheet pan popping them into your mouth one by one until they’re gone!
SIMPLE ROASTED TURNIPS
3 lbs. Turnips
thyme (fresh or dried)
salt & pepper
Preheat oven to 450F
Wash and cut turnips in half
Place turnips on a baking sheet plan lined with parchment paper (or foil)
Add salt and pepper to taste, thyme, and olive oil
toss the turnips until coated evenly with oil.
Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until turnips turn a golden brown.
